More space for environmental technology: MKR invests in expanding production
MKR Metzger GmbH officially kicked off the expansion of its production facilities in Monheim with a groundbreaking ceremony. In addition to management and employees, guests from politics and business attended the event – including the Deputy Mayor of Monheim, Anita Ferber, who emphasized the importance of regional family businesses for innovation, sustainability, and employment in the region.
The expansion is the result of a clear development: The increasing demand for environmental and water technologies necessitates the expansion. More and more companies are relying on solutions for water recycling and reuse to conserve resources and comply with legal environmental regulations. "We are seeing this shift in environmental awareness worldwide – and it is leading to greater demand for our technologies than ever before," emphasizes Managing Director Thomas Metzger.
MKR is responding to this trend with innovative solutions. The company's systems are used in numerous industries and help reduce industrial wastewater, extend the usability of process media, and use energy more efficiently.
"With the expansion, we are creating a more efficient production structure that saves energy, optimizes processes, and conserves valuable resources. Our high standards of sustainability – which have always been firmly anchored in MKR's DNA – are thus being taken to the next level," Thomas Metzger continues.
In addition to additional production space, the new extension will also house a technical center that will further strengthen the in-house development and testing of new technologies. "Demand for our solutions is constantly growing – with this expansion, we can respond even more flexibly to customer requirements in the future and further expand our expertise and innovative strength," adds Ralf Xalter, Managing Director of MKR Metzger GmbH.
Completion of the new hall section is planned for next year. By then, a modern, energy-efficient production area will be built on the company premises in Monheim, further strengthening the company's future viability and underscoring its role as a leading provider of sustainable environmental technology.
