Chemical oxygen demand (COD)

Chemical oxygen demand is also known as COD. It is a measure of the total amount of substances present in water that can oxidize under certain conditions. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) indicates the amount of oxygen that would be required for oxidation with oxygen as the oxidizing agent.
