(Fürth/Monheim) The higher concentrations of the loads from the production are to be removed from the wastewater effectively and contamination values significantly below the allowable limits achieved, before the direct discharger removes the water. With MKR Metzger, the company has found an efficient partner who, after preceding extensive tests, supplied the best overall package.
“We not only want to meet the limits, but achieve values significantly below them”, the head of the RUAG Ammotec GmbH service centre in Fürth emphasised. After the resource-saving measures to save water had been installed successfully, the traditional production company was ready for its next environmental protection step. The loads, in particular the COD loads of the wastewater from three production buildings are to be removed effectively before the water is further treated in the company’s own chemical wastewater treatment plant. Because the wastewater quantities were reduced by numerous effective saving measures, the concentration of the loads in the wastewater has increased. They come from the multi-step forming processes, with which RUAG machines non-ferrous metals such as brass and copper as well as steel. RUAG now achieves the best possible results with a centrally installed evaporator unit from MKR Metzger.
